Murphy
We’ve worked with Ruth at RSK9 Dog Training with our Cane Corso, Murphy, and can’t recommend her highly enough. We first went to Ruth for basic and obedience training when Murphy was a puppy, and later returned for 1-to-1 sessions when he began showing fear-based reactions towards other dogs. Ruth has been incredible throughout — her knowledge, calm approach, and understanding of the right tools made a huge difference for us and for Murphy. Her instructions are always clear and easy to follow, communication is great, and she’s always there if you need advice and support. Murphy has also stayed with Ruth several times for maintenance boarding while we’ve been away, and he always comes home happy, well looked after, and right on point with his training. It’s obvious how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. We can’t thank Ruth enough for all her help. Rosie
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Ruth at RSK9 Dog training! Before training, our puppy Rosie pulled constantly on the lead and had absolutely zero recall, this made walks stressful and left us feeling frustrated and unsure of what to do. From the very first session it was clear that Ruth understands dogs – and just as importantly the people who love them. Her calm, patient and knowledgeable approach made an immediate difference not only in our puppy’s behaviour, but in our confidence as owners. In a noticeably short amount of time, we saw huge improvements. Walks became enjoyable and the lead pulling dramatically reduced, and our puppy now comes back when called – something we thought would never happen. Ruths training methods were clear and easy for us to continue when we were at home on our own. Dexter
As new dog owners, a good trainer was one of our top priorities, especially with two kids and knowing our Labrador would grow to be big and strong. We were looking for more than just basic commands; we needed a trainer who truly understood us and our pup. Ruth was the perfect fit! Ruth is incredible at explaining the 'why' behind her methods, which gave us the confidence to stay consistent at home. We felt fully supported as Dexter transitioned through his land-shark and teenage phases, using what’s app messages and videos between training sessions with Ruth adjusting the training as needed. The results speak for themselves — we have a dog we can take anywhere, have had so many comments on how well-behaved he is for a pup of his age and, most importantly, Dexter absolutely adores her! We loved her approach so much that we booked onto her play and fulfilment workshops well after the initial puppy course ended as well as boarding when we couldn’t take Dexter away with us. When we decided to add a second puppy to our family almost a year later, there was no question about who to call - in fact Ruth gave us advice on selecting the right puppy to bond with Dexter and happily agreed to look after our new puppy for a few days during the Christmas period when we visited family some distance away. Ruth has been our go-to for every milestone, ensuring both our dogs are happy, engaged, and well-behaved.
